Colorado BFL Gathering # 1

Here are some of the great Colorado Champions. We had a great time getting to know one another and are so excited about Cat coming from Newport News, Virginia! She'll be coming over my birthday weekend April 17-April 20th! It is going to ROCK! :)

It's Tuesday Week 11

This morning I decided to up my cardio to a high speed of 8.1 on the treadmill. I felt better today doing cardio than I have in a long time. It was refreshing. Still a challenge, but not so torturous!! I'm feeling stronger and that makes me feel really good about myself!

I am working today on being more patient with my son during school. Spring Break was still in my brain yesterday. Other goals are to make sure I'm not so absorbed by the Guestbook that I 'live' on the computer all day! Not good.

I think what I enjoy about GB is not only hearing uplifting and encouraging things from others, but contributing to helping someone else have a better day. I get more out of that and I think I'm smiling a lot more. My son said...."I love how you smile at the computer, mom!" It's not really the computer, but the wonderful, fun people I have met over these past 10 weeks.

I am really enjoying getting to know my friend, Deb, in Australia! It seems a world away, but one day she and I and hopefully our families will meet in person. I'd love to see Australia and that big beautiful BLUE lake she lives near.

And she must see our Pikes Peak with "powdered sugar snow" covering it's head and shoulders.

Must stay on track for my 6 meals today. Keeping my metabolism steady during the day will get me closer to my goals.

Day 1 of Week 11 Happy Monday

Wow! I had a very good upper body workout today. I am very tired, muscles are aching...but that's good.......I guess..... I am a little cranky though....

Tomorrow is a new day. Still love to encourage and uplift people on the guestbook. One dear lady mentioned that she thinks her husband of 25 years is being unfaithful. She has resolved to improve her life anyway! A woman of strength... It just makes you realize that some folks really have a lot to deal with in their lives.

I am thankful for my family...my husband and sweet children....I will count my blessings, no matter how many tough Mondays there are.

Did I mention we started school again after Spring Break! UGH. I think I was as bad as my son getting back on track. Tomorrow will be terrific Tuesday!

To my wonderful # 1 follower....HEY DEB in South Aussie!! :)

Week 11 of Challenge 1

I'd love to thank my husband who loves me no matter what! He's inspired me to find joy in who I am and not what shows on the outside. Now that I'm doing BFL, I can also find joy in that! Yay!

I would like to say a special thank you to Steve. He went out of his way to help me with a couple of workouts. This helped me to feel more confident as I have gone forward with this challenge. I appreciate him....pink tutu and all! :) Just kidding! Girlie man! OH!

Today is Sunday and the day before beginning Week 11 of my first challenge. I
have posted my new pictures and am seeing changes. I'm starting this blog because of my friend Carrie who just finished her first challenge and graciously shared her 12 week journey via blog!

I LOVE Body For Life. I am incorporating it into my thinking and lifestyle, because I see this as a way to continue being healthy, happy and in shape. Being more muscular, toned and feeling so incredibly in control of my life at this p
oint is such a motivator.

Someone asked me why I decided to do BFL. Why I thought I needed it.

Why I thought I needed it in the first place was to lose some pounds: pounds that stubbornly refused to go! However, my reason for continuing with Body For Life is much deeper than that! This is more than a program. It's a community of unbelievable people I will cherish having in my life forever. These are champions of the greatest kind. Overcomers and friends who reach out a hand to pick you up when you've fallen down.

This coming week I plan to push harder than I have yet! I will hit all my 10's and press on to finish this first challenge like a champion should! WOW....can't believe I've come so far already! :) The picture in the pink suit is where I started 10 weeks ago. The pictures in the black suit show my results up to his point in time. BFL works! www.bodyforlife.com
